“It's as much fun to scare as to be scared.” The ghoulish figures haunt and the witches laugh… be aware because this Monday is full of creeps. Watch out for the pumpkins that line the porch, for they are sure to haunt forever if you dare to stare. Maybe it’s the tricks of small creatures, or even the treats your neighbors hand out. Don’t stay out too late because demons and gargoyles may taunt. From the brain metaphoric Italian spaghetti your mother prepared, or the ghastly green avocado that’s been freshly cut, your skin is sure to crawl. The pale moonlight shines dimly through the thin layer of the lowest level of broken clouds. Black cats wander the lonely city road that connects to the mysterious bridge. “Don’t look back…” a hushed, whispered voice says. The moment you realized it was all just a dream, or was it? Happy Halloween folks! It’s that time of year again: pumpkins, ghosts, the fall harvest, canning, and just happiness. The transition between the summer and the fall months can be quite nice. If I do say so myself, summer used to be my favorite season, but now it is fall. The leaves are changing and the snow is here -it is coming faster than we might think. I honestly believe that fall is the most pleasant time of year. Monday marks the day of All Hallow's Eve. Whether it is a short story, or a book, words really do say a lot. The simplest things are always under noticed. Have you ever thought what kind of power your voice has? I know I have. Sure, we all want our voices to be heard, it is so important to remember that what we write also influences the future. Without a doubt, I can absolutely testify that words influence a thousand times. I have always heard of the saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words." While that is true, what is more unforgettable? Words? Photographs? In my personal opinion, the words are harder to forget. Always be conscious of how you use words to influence others. While this blog post seems more of like a news report, I really just want to update everyone on things that are happening within the next little while. This upcoming week is the first week of November! That also means that it is time for a new livery. This month's livery features a fun and colorful design in honor of Día De Lost Muertos. Day of the Dead is a tradition Mexican holiday celebrating those who have passed onto the next life. Between sugar skulls, Pan de Muerto, and bright colors, it is such a wonderful holiday. The dates this year are the first two days in November. This logo livery was created to honor the dead as well as past ancestors. On November 5th and 6th there is an airshow at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is really nice because it is a place we can all go to experience something historical. If you do not know, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force. This is going to be epic. I really hope to see you all there. If you see me or would like to, send me a message via Instagram. Here is a link to Nellis' page. I have heard -and Nellis says- that this is going to be the best and biggest air show yet. As a pilot, and as an Av-geek, I am beyond elated to step foot and attend this event. I really love every aspect of aviation and this event will really fuel the addiction. Please share this with family and friends because I really encourage all people to attend this. Aviation is the coolest industry out there and every aspect of it is so worth it. The famous USAF Thunderbirds will be doing one of their amazing performances at the show. As someone who has personally seen them fly up at Hill Air Force Base this past summer, I can really vouch for their performances. Be watching for a YouTube video featuring content from the Summer 2022 Hill Air Force Base show. I meant to release this a long time ago, I have just recently been able to start editing. On top of that, they are also welcoming F-16s, F-22s, and F-35s. The presentation also includes the floating giant: C-17 Globemaster. I enjoy both civil and military aviation. While I want to be a commercial airline pilot, everything here still intrigues me. No matter what side of aviation you prefer, this all appeals to all. I really hope to see you all there. The adoption date of my Jetta is coming up! This is really neat because I have come so far when it comes to driving. Thanks to my obsession with Germany, my Volkswagen, and my Jetta, I have been able to ace driving a manual. Driving a manual car is nothing but an absolute blast. Sure it is hard at first, but isn't everything else hard too? If it wasn't hard, then everyone would be doing it. This rewarding experience has really 'shifted' my perspective. On December 8th, 2021 I had the amazing chance to launch my website jettAV8R.com. This has been nothing but a rewarding journey. I will be doing something around that time to celebrate this amazing journey with you all. Stay tuned for that. "I always yearn to have my eyes turned toward the sky, you know, in the sky. There is no getting away from the high associated with flying. The blood is turned to pure 100LL and the mind is nothing but an altimeter that wants to reach 9,000 MSL." Also, there are so many more opportunities and little things coming up that I cannot release yet. I have a whole ten days of fun planned out, so hopefully I can show you all more content tailored to everyone, not just avgeeks like myself. If you are dying to find out what this involves I can give one hint... everyone should love this and it is for all ages. I am very excited to share this with you all because I feel like it will help broaden the happiness and positivity that I am trying to spread throughout the entire world.
For those who are interested in my progression towards my flight, please check out the logbook section. I just updated this last night to account for new flights that I have recently made. I am nearing my solo flight and I am so excited. I cannot give a projection or an ETA for the solo flight due to several variables. My nerves are only and purely excited for this once in a life time event. This is huge, and this is the biggest moment I have been waiting for. Let's do it! Also, for those of you who have been literally dying for a face reveal, this is the moment when I will finally show my face. The progression of aviation is nothing short of an amazing completion factor. I love every moment of aviation because it is not just cool, but it is a very new industry (120 years old) and every second you are making history. They say that a passion never fails or falters. I can certainly agree to this regarding that subject of aviation. I personally love and cherish every second I am given to live, but I personally cherish and love every second in the industry. We want progression, not regression. Let's all band together and keep moving this industry forward. We need more pilots! We need more people to fly! I do not want to see this industry crumble into pieces. Come and fly! I highly encourage both young and old to take an intro flight. Always remember that connection that you have to the sky. Never forget that taste of freedom associated with that feeling. Don't falter your focus, as you need to keep it on the prize. There is nothing on this planet like the feeling of flight -it is the most unique and amazing experience ever. Always keep your focus on the heading. Cheers to another amazing week ahead! -Jetta
