"Aviation is nothing short of a miracle. Since the beginning of time mankind has wanted to soar, but what are dreams? What are dreams you ask? Anything is possible, even that of going from the Wright Flyer to a Boeing B-747. Miracles do indeed happen and dreams do always come true." Vintage aviation is the best aviation, and without a doubt those who pioneered aviation are some of the best individuals. Whenever I look up at the sky I cannot help but see and think about those pioneers who have come before me. These individuals have paved forth a new way for me to fly, and for you as well. Life is so important and it is so important to remember those small things that others have done for us. From the Wright Brothers, to Amelia Earhart, to Bessie Coleman, and even to Jessica Cox, aviation is really an amazing industry for all people. The belief in something and the effort put forth to achieve will almost always work. The progression of the aviation industry is no stranger to that saying, "aviation is nothing short of a miracle. Since the beginning of time mankind has wanted to soar, but what are dreams? What are dreams you ask? Anything is possible, even that of going from the Wright Flyer to a Boeing B-747. Miracles do indeed happen and dreams do always come true."
I have watched several documentaries on aviation, pilots, and planes. Every single one of those documentaries taught me something of high importance. I specifically remember watching one that discussed Amelia Earhart. One thing that really stood out to me was her perseverance. No matter what seemed to happen she always pushed through and found a way to make her dreams come true. I always have loved her quote that goes like this, "The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward." That decision to act is indeed hard and sometimes overwhelming, but when we act and make our dreams come true it is that journey that really shapes us into someone new. Life is always about learning about ourselves and our dreams always teach us about that too. Without a doubt I am a modern day Amelia Earhart, trying to soar high in the sky and make her dreams of flight come true. I always love to think of things as 'faith always leads to perseverance.' Having faith is such an important factor in life. It seems like aviation carries that doctrine deep within. History is such an important concept to understand when it comes to this industry. Nothing just comes about, or is snatched out of thin air. These aviators had to have faith in God and faith in themselves. As a future aviator, I can definitely vouch for that one. At one point in time Chuck Aaron said, "Never quit. Never give up. Fly it to the end." All pilots need sort of a motivation boost every now and again, which means this quote will always stick in my mind. It is deeply amazing how all pilots always have an epiphany in their lives. Another pilot that deeply inspires me is Jessica Cox. She does not have any arms, as she was born that way, so she found a solution and she flies with her feet. As a pilot she deeply inspires me to keep my eyes towards the sky. I want to deeply thank her for motivating other girls both with and without disabilities to fly. She said, "It’s only human to have low moments in life because if you don’t, then you won’t feel the high, exciting times." That is absolutely true. Life is always hard, and pilots know that, but it is always about how you handle that situation. Life isn't about the negative, it is about what is done to turn that negative into a positive. Jessica is doing a wonderful job at inspiring others through faith, perseverance, and effort. In the end, anything is truly possible. Men and women have long kept an eye towards the heavens. Everyday the sun rises and everyday the sun sets. It is a complete and homogeneous pattern. There is no faults or break ups in the pattern. While the sun sets and the sun rises everyday there are other variables that change. Those can be weather, cloud cover, colors in the sky, and even time. Life is never the same, although it seems like it is. Making life different everyday, going on new adventures, and just being positive are such ways to make each day different. Vow to make everyday better. Life is always changing, calling for adaptations and effort. Even though he is not a pilot, Saint Jerome's quote has always stuck around, "Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best." As a future pilot it is always so important to remember that life changes every single day. There is no break from learning, practicing, and taking notes. I drive a manual car, so I can already relate to this learn and grow cycle. It is all simply just apart of life as a whole. With that being said, always remember that there is room for improvement every day. The courage to actually get up and do something is quite tough sometimes. If I do say so myself that is very true. However, those that came before us really changed our world, so let us change the future too! They always say that flight is an addiction. I always say that flight is pure freedom, as my saying goes, "flying is freedom and freedom is flight." Leonardo DaVinci was also a famous individual invested in the aviation community. He certainly loved to draw the 'blueprints' of flight so to speak. He once said, "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." I myself can wholeheartedly agree to this statement more than anyone would ever thing. Once the sky catches a soul, that soul will always long to return. Life truly is absolutely beautiful in every way possible. Always, and I mean always remember that. Anything is possible indeed through faith, effort, and so forth. The sky is the best place to be. It is certainly veracious in every way possible. Push through the cacophony of trials, shove past the vociferous hatred, and advance to the top. As my all time favorite aviator, Amelia Earhart, said, "Adventure is worthwhile in itself."
