6/27/2022 0 Comments Dear Aviation,"Aviation is the fuel for the soul to burn bright." Dear Aviation, Ever since I was a young little girl I felt connected to you. I felt as if the sky was calling me home. What is home anyway? For me, home was always defined as a place where I feel comfortable. Yet somehow, somehow, the sky has provided that for me. Dear aviation, you’re my best friend when I feel down. You’ve always been there for me, I’ve just had to search for you. All these years your fabulous science and beautiful aircraft have been locked away, only to be discovered by myself. The endless mysteries of this connection still dig deep in my brain. Each time my jade green eyes look up at the sky I can’t help but want to spend the rest of my life in the sky. Dear aviation, I’m here, here walking the earth that is. Could you pick me up off my feet and place me on a cloud? They always say that a pilot’s worst enemy is the ground. All this girl’s brain focuses on is the feeling, the freedom, and the endless beauty of flight. “Look up little bird” a voice once said in my head. I only looked up to see a bird nearly flying next to an aeroplane. That voice echoes on a daily. Flight mode, airplane mode, and early morning smells of jet fuel… what more could I want? Dear aviation, ever wonder how someone’s life can make a complete 360 degree go around? It’s because of you, aviation. You caught my soul and fled my brain. We have walked together, talked together, and even had so much fun together. Dear aviation, you’re my best friend for life. There’s no way out of this. That spark will absolutely never ever fade. We are both in this together. Let’s call this one a life. Let’s make this one pure bliss, joy, and happiness. Let’s fly… I was born to spread my wings and fly. Oftentimes writing has been my biggest way to express feelings. I find most peace and joy when writing about the skies. This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend an airshow. This was huge for me because I’m the biggest aviation enthusiast on this planet. Every second of it was exhilarating. There’s no doubt that it was picture perfect. Those planes are built for speed. As Maverick likes to say, “I feel the need… the need for speed.” Those planes certainly lived up to that statement. Between the sounds, the perfect barrel rolls, and the perfect aerobatics of the pilot, that airshow was beyond perfect. Flips. Turns. Twists. Heart stopping moments. Those are words I could specifically use to describe this airshow. I can hardly imagine how amazing it would be and feel to be a pilot flying one of those planes. I look up to every single one of those pilots and their perfect skills. That show was heart stopping - exhilarating type of a thing. I truly feel so amazing thinking back and remembering those moments. Every twist, turn, and flip was maneuvered to perfection. Those pilots had a load of courage along with a burst of talent. I could hardly imagine the adrenaline that was flowing through their veins. Aviation is one of those things that just will never leave the soul. It’s absolutely amazing. Every second is exhilarating with pure serotonin running through the brain. Every moment kept me on my toes. It’s absolutely beautiful with everything that comes with it. If I do say so myself… I am absolutely born to fly. "There is just something so fabulous about being able to touch the sky. I'm not sure quite what but the principles of flight are marvelous. Works of art and science that have been put together by philosophers, scientists, and pilot wanna be’s at the time. Honestly, I never thought that I would be invested in the flying industry but here I am. Being bought into the longevity and commitment to something more than just life. The burning fire of passion, honor, and devotion." As I always say... "flying is freedom and freedom is flight."
