With the recent survey that I put out, I got a lot of positive feedback regarding posts and videos about my dorm room. Never in my life would I have ever imagined having to stay in a dorm room, but here I am. If I do say so myself it is amazing to think about just how big this next adventure is.
What is the theme of my dorm room?
If you are new here and if you haven't really gotten to know me yet, I am really a vintage soul living in a modern world. Despite just barely being an adult I really love everything that came before my time. From vintage planes, the roaring 20s, and even to the interesting details of past people, it all intrigues my soul. My dorm room is going to be a pastel take on the vintage air. I love dried flowers, so there will be accents of dried flowers. I enjoy photos, so I will have black and white photos of the time I flew in the B-25 Mitchell. I also enjoy plants, so most likely I will be taking a few of my little plants with me.
What made me decide the theme?
Since I love all things vintage I wanted the vintage touch. I also love more of a pastel blue with white color scheme. In the first place I wanted something way different than my more western boho meets tropical style of bedroom. Of course there will be lots of aviation infused into my dorm room. Since I will miss my home room I thought I would make the dorm a combination of everything I like.
As a future pilot I am obsessed with the history behind this wonderful industry. It is not ever about current events, but it is always about the history before today. I feel as if understanding the history to a future career helps the individual find more courage and understanding towards the industry. I love this industry so much because of its rich history in time. Really every time you take a flight it is stepping back in time, in fact so far back that it reaches that time of the Wright Brothers.
Aviation is life, and it forever will be.
