"We have all had periods where motivation ceases to exist within the soul. Failure or giving up is not an option -never." Good early morning aviators! This is the earliest I have posted one of these articles on here, which I am quite surprised. Within the past long time I have been able to reflect back on several experiences that I have had throughout my life. One of these was profound enough to prove to me that life is not perfect. I was a very early bloomer at life, as I accomplished a lot by the time I was 10 years old. However, I learned pretty quickly that not all opportunities turn out picture perfect. Not every painting is fit for a museum, and certainly, not every single day belongs in the history books. Rich experiences are what lead us to understand more of who we are as human beings, but what do we know of that? Sure, what is the first thing that you think of when you hear the word 'life?' I can assure you that everyone's perspective on this is different. I really think of 'imperfection is the new perfection' whenever I hear the word life. The common human might think the same way. However, this world is a very imperfect place with a very diverse amount of things. No two of anything is the same -they can be similar, but never the same. I have really come to comprehend the differences of each experience as they come and go. The popular vote is that life sucks, get up, and move on. Well, what does this mean? Usually I would never say something like that, but that is the common vote in today's world. There is this beautiful thing called perspective. Perspective would not exist without experiences, and experiences would not exist without positivity and negativity. Human nature is to lean more negative than positive, so we seemingly carry this negative weight on our shoulders. Why must we make life so complicated? I am not sure. One simple trick to changing the mindset is to, well, change the mindset. Find a new focus is what I like to call it. One of these methods I choose is to immerse myself in the creative world. Creativity seems to always solve a lot of problems. Just being able to put myself on paper -thoughts, feelings, actions, etc.- really opens up my vision of myself. Drawing, writing, and painting all go hand and hand in my life. How do you express yourself? My story might seem enough to bring some sort of motivation. The content I post on my blog showcases my journey becoming a pilot. This journey has been such a blessing and such an amazing experience. I have met so many amazing people, who I have really come to get to know. Being here in Cedar City has really helped me come to understand the world and myself. However, it is not always sunshine, rainbows, and lollipop kind of happiness. If I do say so myself, life has its ups and downs. That is absolutely normal! Don't let those moments get a hold of your soul. The moment you do let them kill your soul, is the moment that you struggle to get back up on your feet. "The moment you let the voices get to your head is the moment you collapse. Keep strong, get up, and keep going because that is what is going to provide fuel, air, and spark to your engine." Motivation comes from the soul. Sometimes I find myself in a pit of upheaval when it comes to finding motivation. However, always ask yourself this question: what does life mean to me? I have found myself on countless occasions searching for the right path to success. When I first began flying I found myself hooked even more. Doing what you love and getting out of that 'bottomless pit' will for sure aid in the motivation healing process. Not just that, but who do you find yourself hanging around? Make sure they are like minded individuals who bring pure positivity to the dinner table. You don't exactly have to spend every second with them, just find some people who share the same interests and likes.
Don't let the past get a hold of the future. It is of utmost importance to realize how amazing life indeed is. Focus on the past and use it as a tool to keep going and keep progressing forward. Never let the past get a hold of your soul like most people do. Limitations and over use of limitations never will equate to happiness. Get out in the world, try something new, and move forward. Finding the best out of the past involves changing and adapting to new things. With life comes discouragement and with life also comes curveballs. You cannot change past time, but you can change now time. My favorite historical document mentions how all men are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What are you doing to reach happiness? It is highly interesting because science has this concept called equilibrium. Air moves from a high concentration to a low concentration, seeking balance. What are you doing to seek that balance in life? One of my favorite philosophers, Lao Tzu, said this, “Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.” That is very true, however, in order to 'master ourselves' we must find that balance in between. I have found it empowering to find the small things both about life and about myself and tie those all together. We only learn by two things: living and doing. Without living we would not be doing, and without doing we would not be living. See, everything in life is connected together in. away that is so unexpected. Find that equilibrium by pushing forward and keeping on going. Time is always a huge factor in everything. If I make myself clear: time is the biggest thing. Take it all in, each moment, and breathe. We are all in this together. Always understand that you are never ever alone, so let's do it together. Keep flying high because it will pay off.
