"America is another name for opportunity." "I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me... and I proudly stand up... next to you, and defend her still today. There ain't a doubt I love this land... God bless the USA...." That his sort of how my favorite song about America goes. Today is the celebration of the fourth of July. This is a special holiday in America because it is really present to celebrate the freedom of America, hence the name Independence day. The song mentioned discusses how amazing it is to be an American and to live in America. As an American girl I am so proud to be an American, where at least I know I am free. I will never forget the men who died who gave that right to me. I will always proudly stand up and defend her still today. There will never be a doubt because I love this land, and may God always bless the USA. Growing up in America has certainly been very rewarding for me in a sense that it is so different. As we all celebrate independence day I would like to share a small poem that I wrote in honor of those who have served in the military. This country means so much to me and I cannot express how much the sacrifices mean to me -those sacrifices that allow me to live in a free country. Hope. Love. Cherish. Being an American is such a rewarding thing. I am beyond proud to be an American. I just wanted to take the time to write something small to thank those who have and continue to give us freedom. Everyday I always remember that I am an American and I live in America. What a neat experience and opportunity this is. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "America is another word for opportunity." That quote cannot be more true. This is truly the land of many promises, and I am certainly beyond grateful for that opportunity to be here. The Star Spangled BannerO say, can you see America & History Quote Board"One flag, one land, one heart, one hand, one nation evermore." “My favorite thing about the United States? Lots of Americans, one America.” “99% of failures come from people who make excuses.”
