Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to receive my first class FAA medical. Accomplishing that has made me so excited to take some further steps towards beginning training in the fall. As the time gets closer I will publish more information regarding that. Being able to take small steps to dip my feet in the water just builds up the excitement. Aviation just feels so right for me. In order to solo -fly alone- a pilot must receive some type of FAA medical. I just went ahead and got a first class so that I know I am in compliance with the airlines. There is a third, second, and first class medical. Third class lasts the longest between the issue and the expiration date. A first class must be renewed every year. In order to be a commercial airline pilot a first class is necessary. When I walked out with the medical certificate in my hand I felt not only the burden lift off my shoulders, but the sheer excitement. I want to fly too! Now I can check off another box, which means I am one step closer to flying in the fall. "Ever since the year 2017 I could not help but somehow feel that connection with the sky. I almost wanted to go about screaming 'I want to fly too.' About five years later I can now say 'I will get to fly, and I will fly.' It is amazing to know that."
