Gardening spans all over the world and without it there would not be any food available. Farming and cultivation of the land has been around for thousands of years. It is simple, men and women need food to survive. With that being said, plants are the most basic food for humans as well as other animals. Without plants there would not be food. Many types of plant organisms are used for food, decor, or medicinally. Some common uses of plants include:
The uses of plants do not even stop there. Of course they continue on, but that is not what I intended this post to be about. Lavender: teas Peppermint- teas and medical Tea Tree: oils and medical Lettuce: vitamin rich foods Spinach: vitamin rich foods Aloe: medicinally for burns Banana: fruit Apple: fruit From here the list goes on for near infinite. Each and every plant has unique characteristics and uses that further nutrition. Here are some of my personal favorite plants to grow:Lavender
With that being said, I love plants. No matter where they come from I love plants. Just the diversity and the bright colors that they bring to the world is enough to impress me. Plants are both a part of a healthy life and a happy life. Gardening brings that joy that permeates my soul. Both having a garden in the summertime and having houseplants inside helps me stay happy and healthy. Being able to take care of plants is such a rewarding experience that will stay for years to come. The ability to learn and grow from these precious experiences connects me deeper to nature. The connection to nature comes with time, patience, and effort. Gardening is my hobby that has allowed me to stay connected with nature. Trying out and pursuing gardening has been one of the best things I have ever done. Still to this day I have that deep love and appreciation for plants.
