Zentangles are a unique way of expressing the use of odd shapes. I personally thought this project was very enjoyable to complete. Just like the first portion of the word 'zentangle,' drawing these really creates a zen experience. I loved choosing the colors and the shapes. i actually hand drew all of the shapes with just a pencil and a ruler. After doing so I used watercolor and freehand work to apply the colors. Once the colors were dry I used a ballpoint pen to ink on the designs. The best part about this whole piece was creating the different shapes. I was going for a more galaxy look to the piece, thus following the concept of 'out of this world.'  Creating unusual artwork has always been a passion of mine, and this project just added some more interesting work to my personal gallery. ​
