Sure I have covered this topic before, but this topic seems to be a hit. I have such a close knit tie with the islands. They are considered my second home. I love to visit the islands, taste the food, and experience aloha. Everything is totally different in Hawaii. The whole island experience is beyond words because it is that amazing. There is not one thing that I do not like about Hawaii. Smitty's Smash Burger: What is a list of the best Hawaii places to go without food? Food always has to make it on the list. I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of hamburgers and french fries. However, when my family and I visited Smitty's Smash Burger I was so amazed. I could not believe it. Their burgers are packed with flavor, crunch, and the perfect amount of anything. Smitty's is a food truck that is based in Kauai. When I ordered from there I got the Kalapaki Burger. I was so amazed and in awe with the flavors. When going to Kauai they are a must hit. Check them out on Instagram here: @smittyssmashkauai and Facebook at Smitty's SmashBurger. Waimea Valley: I mentioned this one before in a previous post. I feel that this one needs a second mention. I loved traveling here due to the lush, tropical plants that reside within. Waimea Valley is on O'ahu. Every second is worth it here. Swimming in the waterfall was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I loved it. The water was quite cold, but getting up close to the waterfall was worth it. Check out their website here and their Instagram here: @waimeavalleyoahu. Hole in the Mountain Pineapple Farms: Most people are super familiar with the wonderful, mouthwatering, delicious fruit pineapple. I love it so much. However, did you know there is another less well known type of pineapple? On the island of Kauai there is a little farm called Hole in the Mountain Pineapple Farm. They grow a variety called Kauai White Sugarloaf Pineapple. Let me tell you -yes this is true and not biased at all- it is without a doubt the best fruit I have ever tasted in my entire life. I was in heaven and I was in Hawaii heaven. They do offer tours and I highly recommend doing a tour. The owners are amazing and they fill the tourists with plenty of pineapple information. Ever heard of a pineapple frosty? Well, it is like a pineapple whip, but 1000 times better. Here is their website and their Instagram: @kauaisugarloafpineapple. Kauai Backcountry Tubing: Another adventure that takes place on Kauai is tubing down the old canals. Kauai Backcountry Tubing offers these tours. I have to say that I loved this tour so much -it has been one of my top three favorite excursions in Hawaii. Being able to see and learn how the past generations created these amazing tunnels was beyond interesting. They were highly informative and helpful. I loved being able to see the different plants that surrounded the area. Listening to the echolocation in the tunnels was music to my ears. I would highly recommend this. Check out this adventure more here and at their Instagram: @kauaibackcountry. Leonard's Bakery: The Malasada is a must have dessert in Hawaii. The sugary dessert was well worth using up my once a month sugar splurge that I allow myself. They are some of the best desserts I have had on the islands. I have traveled to other places with Malasadas, but Leonard's in O'ahu is by far the best of the best. Without a doubt I would go back and get some of these doughnut like desserts. Want some? Visit their website and their Insta: @leonardsbakeryhawaii. I have so many more places that I want to share with the world. These are only a few of my favorite Hawaii places to go. I will continue this list with more activities as time goes on. I look forward to and enjoy sharing my experiences with places. Hawaii has so much more to offer than what I have listed. With that being said, these are only five Hawaii travel ideas. Be sure to add these items to your island itinerary. "Ola i ke ahe lau makani."
