"This is the beginning..." Keeping up with the times isn’t always a practical thing in a sense that there is so much more to it than there is present. Each and everyday is a new beginning in a way that gives each and every one of us a new chapter in life. Every beginning leads to something even more great. What happens now will influence what happens years down the road. How can someone achieve something that is so great without doing something about it now? That is so impossible, which is sometimes hard to comprehend. I have been able to accomplish a lot within the past year or two.
The only comprehensive guide to life I can give you is that whatever is on your mind for a long term goal, you need to make many and several short term goals in order to achieve that end in sight. Last week’s blog post I touched on being able to become a new person. In a way, there are just so many endless ways a life could go. There is never just one set path a life could go. I am actually from Salt Lake City, Utah, and right in the heart of downtown there is a bowl of twisting, and winding roads. They are often referred to as ‘the Spaghetti Bowl.’ While this is a ‘cheesy’ analogy, it helps put somethings into perspective. During one drive the driver may take an exit through the spaghetti bowl that takes them towards the Salt Lake Temple, while another time they may take an exit that will take them to the South. There are so many combinations, opportunities, and roads that we can all take throughout life. My mind is set on one thing, and that is becoming a commercial airline pilot. However, sometimes I need to take a step back and remember that life is about the journey and not the destination. It has taken me several years to understand this rule. I would almost say it as another golden rule that accompanies the first and original golden one. Whenever I get too focused on the end goal, I always remember that I have so much to live for now. I have done so much to get myself to where I am today. Without a doubt, I can definitely say that I am someone who does take longer to learn certain things, and this has been one of them. The best difference between the past and the future can be described opportunity and prosperous joy. Every chance I get to try something and accomplish something new I will take it. My first priority is to live in happiness, health, and joy. One of my favorite sports of all time, in fact my only favorite sport, it baseball. The reason why I love this sport is because I used to play it myself. My favorite team still remains the Los Angeles Angels. The most common attribute I see amongst all of the players is how they build themselves up through dedication, effort, and teamwork. Several of the players have been deemed the best of the best within the MLB community. How did they get there? Well, they got there through hardwork, teamwork, and dedication. They got there, so we all can too. The future is bright for all of us, and it depends on how we handle the present. When I first discovered aviation, I wanted to make the best of my life. My life has been so full of many amazing things, and this is just one of them. I truly do wake up everyday to see the blue sky, hear the birds chirp, and even taste the fresh morning breeze. I found out that I got accepted into Southern Utah University just over a year ago, and became one of the most determined individuals on the planet. I suddenly found myself here… here making my dream come true, and that is all that matters.
