3/24/2023 0 Comments The Colors of NatureEvery single moment is one greater than the mind can process. Why is it that the colors of nature keep every eye on point?" Every single time that I travel outside I find myself in a deep trance of awe. This deep trance of awe really captivates my soul in every way possible. Being outside always makes me feel home. There is just that uncanny feeling that the mind receives during every walk around a lake. I truly believe there is something special there. There is some beautiful connection. I still remember the first time I walked around my favorite lake here in the state of Utah. Mirror Lake in the Uintah Mountains holds a special place in my heart. There are just so many amazing memories that the lake holds for me. There was nothing like feeling the sun kiss my face while my feet walked around the boards that connected the lake over its wetlands. It was easy to see the fish swimming just below the surface of the body of water. The surrounding mountains reflected deep within the waters. No wonder why the lake is named after a mirror. The simplicity of the name has a deeper meaning. I remember casting my fishing pole out into the water, which resulted in a fish catching the swimming worm beneath the surface. Utah is known for these hideaways. The peace, comfort, and beauty that is present there keeps me coming back. Going somewhere to cope and find peace is something that is longed by many. The smell of pine trees tickles the nose while the ears absorb the sound of birds chirping. The heart relaxes as time passes and one heals with nature. The beauty of it all lies deep within the surface. The animals come alive as the campfire crackles. The ears are pleased with the sounds of wolves and coyotes howling in the distance. Night skies come alive once the big ball of yellow light disappears behind the mountain peaks. The skies are painted with light and the aura of the Milky Way. The mind wonders just how small we are compared to the composite universe. We lie within the Milky Way, thus being the third planet from the sun. It has to be the best place to be, as it is. The eye wanders the sky and finds the brightest stars, which fit together to make a picture. Every second of life is precious. Yes, even the worst of moments. I can certainly vouch that nature heals, and it is the place to go when troubled. This Earth holds so many secrets that are still yet to be found. Forests cover the land, snow paints the landscape, and rain wanders through the crevasses. Each and every moment is seen through the eyes, heard through the ears, and taken in by the nose. Nature loves us, and in turn we love it. Taking care of our health is the most important thing ever, and nature provides quite a lot of therapy. One of my favorite things that occurs all year is the ability to be out in nature. I really appreciate every ounce of beauty this earth provides us. Every ounce of this earth provides gorgeous and generous atoms of beauty. How amazing is that? If I do say so myself, life is beautiful, and even more beautiful when the mind rests in nature. Explaining the cause and effect of what makes a seed sprout and grow without getting scientific is completely possible. Maybe I couldn't explain is quite that well, but I do know that gardening is such a beautiful thing. Gardening is something that I tie into the concept of joy. Every moment is nothing but a reward. For example, when I go outside I just feel so happy. Being able to start a seed and get a product from it is so amazing in itself. In life, I have determined that the smallest things are the most important. I truly do love and understand every aspect of the small moments. The smallest things add up to curate the bigger picture. I love to think of life as this gigantic puzzle so to speak. Once you loose that focus on the smaller things, it is super easy to completely forget how to put the puzzle together. Those details make life the best. Wouldn't it be boring if life was just full of perfection? Yes! If I have to be honest, gardening has been something that has taught me that concept. " -Jetta
