"Feelings are something always known to mankind. The second best feeling ever is the thrill of takeoff. Secondly, the first best feeling ever is that of returning back to the ground. There is absolutely nothing as amazing as flying. That heart fluttering moment when it is finally realized that you are flying through the air is unstoppable." From the first moment I flew I knew that this was my passion. Aviation has long had that connection to my veins. As time goes on it seemingly gets stronger. I cannot wait to move forward with this. To me, the best feeling ever is that of flight. I just cannot get over how amazing it is to realize you're flying 40,000 feet up in the sky. With each passing moment that realization gets even more amazing. There is nothing like feeling the four forces of flight happening all at once. Special thanks to the Wright Brothers we have the ability and the opportunity to fly. How amazing is that? If I do say so myself, that is pretty cool.
With flight school beginning right now I have been able to expand upon my connection with the sky. I still cannot believe that my six year long time dream is finally coming true. I have met so many amazing people on this journey from zero to commercial. I received a shock of a lifetime when I got into the best flight school in America. No, that is not Embry Riddle, but rather it is Southern Utah University. I am so privileged and happy to attend this university that has a wonderful flight program. Cheers to attending the 'Top Gun' of aviation schools. With each fulfilling moment I will show off my adventure and my journey with the world. I want everyone on this earth to understand that anything is possible. Sometimes things seem out of reach, or maybe even impossible. However, that is not true. With faith, perseverance, and effort anything is possible. This is so amazing and I still am in complete shock. I still remember the first time I flew on an airplane, and how big of an epiphany that was for me. However, getting accepted into both university and the flight program has really helped me push forward. This journey is about to get real, and I am beyond elated to finally push through this and keep going. In the end, I want to be a captain for Delta Airlines, so we will see where this goes. I am bound and determined to make this goal come true. I am a doer, not a dreamer. I have already dreamed, so why not do it at this point? My favorite aviator of all time, Amelia Earhart, said, "The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward." If I do say so myself, Amelia is right. This is time to make a dream a reality. Hands down... the best years of my life. Check out more content on Facebook and Instagram @jettav8r.
