"Often the most successful possess something that is very important. It is clearly evident that one must start from the bottom and find a way to the top. Success is solely based on adaptability, kindness, character, effort, open mindedness, and a whole lot of positivity,"
Success is always defined by everyone differently. However, the world always seems to find one 'cookie cutter' mold for everything. No matter what it is: life, age, or even stages of life, the world always places a stigma on it. With so many different cultural norms we often find ourselves saying, "I have to do that." Another one of these sayings is, "She or he is doing that, so I absolutely need that too." It is often hard to see it, but without a doubt everyone experiences this firsthand. Now it is so important to note that life can be whatever you make it out to be. You are the captain of your airplane, boat, car, or whatever your heart desires. You, yes you, are the captain.
The power of you...
When writing these blog posts I really like to dig deeper and dig into the nitty gritty so to speak. I try to write all of these with sincerity so I can spread my life lessons, my journey, as well as the thoughts that run through my head. Each word is chosen for a reason, that being to curate content that will hopefully inspire, aid, and guide the reader. This adventure truly means a lot to me.
Over the past few years I have been given a lot of time to think about what I’ve learned as time goes on. I like to think about this as, “with another sunset comes another day. However, with another day comes more growth.” The human mind is built far more advanced than we can actually comprehend. A human is built to learn, grow, and understand. That’s the meaning of life… right?
Yes, that is absolutely the meaning of life. The duration never matters, what matters is what we learn, do, and accomplish along the way. It’s a truly remarkable concept to think about. It takes time to unlock new doors. Life’s all about change, adaptation, and even more so, positivity. I like to look at life as an hourglass. This hourglass gets filled with so much. Whether or not it is memories, experiences, or even knowledge. I have truly been able to learn a lot.
Since I just had my 18th birthday I’ve been able to really dive even deeper, thinking about my life and how my life has taught me lessons. One of these powerful, life altering lessons is what I like to call ‘the power of you.’ It’s quite an interesting one to wrap our minds around, but it’s so good to think about at the same time. It’s sort of relatable to the idea of “words spread like a wildfire, so use them wisely.” Albeit, words have power. Many will say that images and photos have power, “pictures hold more than a thousand words.” However, I truly believe that words are simply more powerful. When the human mind thinks about this it can get kind of confusing. The best explanation I can offer for this goes as follows… When walking around in a pitch black room it is impossible to see anything in front. I had a firsthand experience with this while visiting Timpanogos Cave in the beautiful state of Utah. The lights were turned off and it was purely impossible to see anything. However, when the guide lit a candle the light took over the dark chamber. Darkness cannot exist when the smallest amount of light is present. With that being said, the smallest amount of light -positivity- is what can make life so much better. That is how we achieve victory. You have the power to give little amounts of light to help improve someone else's life. How amazing is that?
You have the power to influence.
You have the power to change.
You have the power to give light.
You have it all, the light, the life, and the love.
You can do hard things.
You can keep fighting and turn everything around.
You make it all possible.
You are needed by the world.
You are purely amazing, in every way possible.
