Art, nature, and animals are some of my favorite things. I love to create new things with my own imagination. This horse watercolor painting was one that I did just today for an art project. My college art 1010 class has brought forth many new experiences and additions to my already partially established artistic skill. I look forward to sharing more of my art with the world. My website has been created to share creativity, education, and inspiration.
This painting was inspired by the song "Rise" by Caroline Jones.
Since one of my favorite genres of music is country music, I thought that this would be a perfect choice for a painting. I love this song specifically because of how much it reminds me of what I truly want: the countryside living. The song brings images of my future horse named Jetta to mind. Combining two of some of my favorite things -art and music- made this project very meaningful to me. I loved being able to paint a picture of what it is that comes to my mind every time I listen to this song. Watercolors are some of my favorite mediums of art due to the ability to blend and move around the pigments. While painting this piece I was able to experiment around with some of the techniques that this class has taught me. Since I was able to do these things it has made me realize that both art and music go hand and hand. Overall, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this project and I am overjoyed with how it turned out.
"And home, home is in my heart."
