Welcome aboard... For people who are not quite sure who I am I thought that I would create a post specifically to give that information. Since beginning this blog I have been able meet so many people. Without a doubt this has been a blessing in my own life. I am so grateful for each one of my followers and readers. I will continue to put forth content about my journey. With that being said, I cannot wait for the coming months so I can finally begin my journey to become a commercial airline pilot. This all has been long awaited, so this is a very pivotal moment in my life. Everyone calls me Jetta and I am a future female pilot. I dream of one day working for the major airlines, which is most likely Delta. I long to fly the Boeing B737, Boeing B777, as well as the Airbus A330. If it is possible I would love to fly the Boeing B747, also known as the 'queen of the skies.' Aside from being obsessed with the skies, I love to garden. Gardening has long been something that I use to escape from the world. Traveling always has filled me with so much happiness. I take special joy in learning new languages, meeting new people, as well as taking new adventures. Currently I am learning German, which I personally love so much. I can also speak some Spanish. I do have a bucket list that seemingly spans for miles and miles. "Flying is freedom and freedom is flight." -jettAV8R "Flying is freedom and freedom is flight" is what I chose for my motto and site tagline. The reason behind this is long. Back in the year 2017 I was able to go to Hawaii for the first time, which meant I was flying. The second I laid my eyes on those planes I felt that sheer connection. The smell of the coffee filled my nose. Even though I do not drink coffee it made me feel at home. There was just something missing in my life, but I did not know what it was. At that moment I began to discover what would be the rest of my life. After sitting by the gate my eyes wandered through the windows of the terminal. The pilots in the plane at the gate fired up the engines. The rumble vibrated the ground and sent shocks throughout my mind. The sound was still intense for the ears even with the airport walls surrounding. As it slowly got pushed back away from the jet bridge my mind furthered itself in pure awe. I was able to catch the plane departing the runway and lifting off the ground. The big metal birds captivated my soul. When it was time for me to board my flight I walked down the jet bridge. When it was time to takeoff I felt the drag of the plane as it lifted off the runway. At that moment I realized that there is nothing on this planet quite like flying. I was hooked, and since then I have realized that "flying is freedom and freedom is flight." I can also be found on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, as well as Duolingo under the name jettAV8R. @jettAV8R Follow my blog here on this website at jettav8r.com. Overtime I have come up with a personal philosophy: “Walk with a set of eyes turned towards the sky, always looking for new adventures in new locations. Strive to be the best possible while accomplishing as much as possible.” Flying has long been apart of my life and I cannot wait to make it a part of my daily career. This blog has been nothing short of one of the greatest blessings in my life. I have always had a connection with they sky that has gotten stronger with time. I look forward to becoming a commercial airline pilot and starting flight training very soon. On social media please use the hashtag #jettav8r to tag me. I would also love if you tagged me @jettAV8R in your jettAV8R inspired posts. I have so much more coming in the near future. I have two big projects that I am working on and I cannot wait to show them to everyone. I will continue this forward. The last topic I wanted to address in this post has to do with my logo. My logo has a deeper meaning than what is actually there. Yes, I did design this logo myself. Jetta in the beautiful language of German means jet stream. Jetta is also my callsign. AV8R stands for aviator, which is another word for pilot. They both combine to form jettAV8R. The meaning of my blog name can be summed up as jet stream pilot. This specific shade of sky blue is my favorite color of all time. I thought that it complimented the black logo very well. As an occasional artist I love to play around with color contrast and color theory. I chose to use a four engine plane to represent my most favorite aircraft of all time: the Boeing B747. The 747 seems impossible to fly, but yet she still flies. This four engine plane lands so gracefully and shows off its beautiful composition. I would love to fly in one of these gorgeous airplanes. I would personally love to fly one myself. The lines above and below the word jettAV8R can either symbolize the contrails (also known as the jet stream) or the edge of the runway. "flying is freedom and freedom is flight."
