"Life is never always easy, but when you influence other's it becomes extra rewarding. You are a sunshine." I have to admit that sitting down and writing these blog posts is not always an easy feat. Whenever I look at the sky I am reminded about why I began this blogging journey. Writer's block is something that I have struggled with every time I write one of these posts. Those moments of writer's block encourages me to press forward. So... what now? When I thought about what to write for this post I immediately thought of an analogy that I came up with a while ago while sitting outside. Life is just like a sunflower -we are just like a sunflower. Every single one of us has petals that are beautiful. Some of them are smaller, while other are bigger, and some more have more brighter colors than the others. No petals have the same patterns, each are different. A sunflower really represents each one of us. The center of the sunflower can represent our mind. In order to flourish physically, mentally, and spiritually, we must have enough CO2, water, sunlight, and soil to make our flower thrive. There are bright and sunny days along with dark and dreary days. The sunflower only blooms on positivity. Those sunny days help it bloom the best.
We are indeed just walking sunflowers that talk. You may not see it at all, but we are all beautiful flowers. One of the most cheesiest movies of all time has to be 'A Bug's Life.' However, it actually has a really good story plot that contains one of the best morals. Through happiness, unity, and positivity anything can be achieved. Even though we feel so small, which we really are compared to the world as a whole, we can do the most amazing things ever. Just think about how far one simple smile can go for someone who is having a bad day. Remember what they taught in school about being there for someone? That alone can really change a life. When I was younger I specifically remember the importance of kindness. No matter what happens or what someone does to you, always remember to be kind. From the smallest to the simplest things all of that means everything and more. I truly love to think of it that way. We are sunflowers, and we do not know the impact we have on someone else's life. The story of the Titanic may not seem like much of an issue in today's modern world. However, the story behind this 'mother ship' is one that needs to be told more often. No, the Titanic did not just end with the moral of love attached to the story. The tragic sinking of the Royal Mail Ship can teach us that the smallest mistakes and smallest details do indeed matter. If the tiny details in and on the boat were accounted for and cared for, this ship would have never sank -at least there would have been much less deaths. From the amount of life boats, to the fine details in the construction and engineering, this boat is sure here to teach us a lesson. In life it is the exact same way. When we look at our life, actions, and so forth as a big picture, we are never going to see the smaller picture. The biggest things do certainly matter, but the smallest really do make the biggest difference. Just because the ship looked good and everything was quaint and perfect, did not mean that the small details didn't matter. These small safety issues were overridden because the ship needed to be perfect in every way -with looks that is. It was because of those safety issues the boat had more casualties than it should have. Do the small things matter? Yes, absolutely! Getting lost in the sunlight is what sunflowers do on a daily basis. They are called sunflowers because they turn towards the sun, pointing their heads towards the ever giving light. This is so important because they are turning towards the positivity. In order to live life to the fullest there must be the optimum amount of positivity present. Yellow is often a color that I personally associate with positivity. That is another reason why I love sunflowers and their gorgeous foliage. Sunflowers are the light flower of this world. We are each flowers that brightly bloom throughout life.
